A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION IN THE NORTHSIDE COMMUNITY DEVELOP-
MENT AREA IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS
UPON WHICH SUCH CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE MADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to advertise for bids for sidewalk construction in the Northside Community

Construction in Northside Community Development Area'! until
p . m . on 1980, at the
office of the. Gity Manager, City Hall, Paducah;. Kentucky, at
which time all bids will be publicly opened, in the Commission
-Chamber of Gity Hall, and-: read aloud. ~~
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project consists" of removal and construction~of cancrete
sidewalks.

OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
Proposed forms, contract documents, including plans and
specifications, are on file at the office of the City Engineer,
City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky.
PROPOSAL GUARANTY
A satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable
sureties 'in an amount equal to 5$ of~the bid shall be submitted
with each proposal. The successful bidder will be required to
furnish and .pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds.

The City of Paducah reserves the right to reject any or afl= bids
or to waive informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be with-
drawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening
of bids without written consent of the Owner.

SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by a
p y y p ion pursuant
notice osted on the bulletin board at Cit Hall and b' ublicaf
to KRS Chapter 424. No bids shall be opened within ten days from the date on
which the resolution is adopted, and no bid shall be received after the hour
fixed for the opening of bids. All bids received by 'the City Manager up to the
time for opening of same shall be filed with the Board 'of Commissioners who
may let a'contract to the best responsible bidder. The'City shalt have the
right to refuse or reject any and all bids. '
SECTION 3. This resolution s~hal l~ be in full force and effect" from and
after the date of ~ its adoption.
