ORDINANCE NO. 80-4-1893
AN ORDINANCE. AUTHORIZING THE. PAYMENT TO D & D CONSTRUCTION,
THE AMOUNT ,OF. $2, 490.. 00, FOR -REPAIRING BLOCKS AND INSTALLING A NEW
ROOF ON THE RECREATION CENTER AT, 1733, BROADWAY,. RATIFYING THE.. ACTION
OF THE :CITY MANAGER AND DECI.,ARING AN EMERGENCY_. TO- EXIST
WHEREAS,,, during the past few months, weather conditions caused
repairs to the Recreation Center to become immediately necessary, and _
WHEREAS, it was deemed by the City Manager, upon. advice of , the Parks
and Recreation Director, that an emergency existed and that it was imperative that
the existing. roof _be repaired,.. and
WHEREAS, the City. ,Manager,_ pursuant to KRS 424.260., certified an
emergency existed and authorized the immediate procural of ,repairs , to said roof ..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY. THE BOARD OF. COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CI'T'Y OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City pay, theinvoice of D & D, Construction, in
the, amount of $2, 490. 00,, said, invoice being in ,substantial. compliance with the
quotation submitted by D & D Constrixction.-Company.
SECTION 2. :The action of the City Manager, pursuant to,.KRS 424.260,
certifying an ,emergency :existed is hereby approved . and .-his actions thereunder are
hereby ratified-. _
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said repairs shall be charged to
General Fund. Account. No,._512,5:
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance. shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one
week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if
adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
