AN ORDINANCE CREATING SECTION 10-60 TO THE "APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES'
CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE", TO BE KNOWN AS THE DEPARTMENT ' OF VEHICLE
MAINTENANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS' OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. There is hereby created Section 10-60 to the "Appointive
Employees' Civil Service Ordinance", to- be known as `the Department of Vehicle
Maintenance.
"Sec. 10-60: Department of Vehicle Maintenance.
(a) -There is hereby created and authorized the following positions in the
Department of Vehicle Maintenance, and the salary of each position, provided the
amount of such salary. is not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter
adopted, , shall be as follows:
Position
Director
Shop Foreman
Chief Mechanic.
Mechanic, Class "A" (5 positions)
Shop Mechanic
Mechanic, Class "B" (3 positions)
Small Engine Mechanic
Base Monthly Salary
$ 1,500.00

Base Hourly Salary

(b) All positions of hourly employment shall be paid at the base hourly
rate for the first six (6) months of employment; and at the expiration of six (6)
months the rate of pay shall be increased by $0.05 per hour such increases to be
made upon recommendation 'of the City Manager".
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
