ORDINANCE NO. 80-3-1880
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH • MOTOROLA- COMMUNICATIONS "AND ELECTRONICS, INC FOR THE
PURCHASE OF 'A REPEATER SYSTEM, TWELVE .MOBILE AND ONE PORTABLE_ TWO
WAY RADIO EQUIPMENT UNDER STATE -PRICE CONTRACT NO. PCT -KY -538-979-E,
FOR THE TOTAL SUM OF $50.,475.63_
WHEREAS

WHEREAS , Kentucky Revised Statutes 45A.300 through 45A.310 allow
local governments to purchase from state contracts , and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah is in need of new two-way radio equipment
with digital voice protection;'"and
WHEREAS, it is in ' -the best interest of the City to purchase said equip-
ment tinder the state contract.,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the' -City Manager be, 'and he is- hereby, authorized
to enter into a contract- with Motorola Communications -and Electronics, 'Inc . , for
the purchase of twelve (12) mobile and one (1) portable two-way radios= and a
repeater system, for the combined total cost of $50,475.63.
SECTION 2. The purchase price for said radio equipment shall be
charged to General Fund Account No. 2123.
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one
week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if
adopted shall be in full force :and effect immediately thereafter.
