A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A GRANT AGREE-
MENT WITH THE UNITED STATES ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION. AGENCY,.. FOR
FEDERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF EIGHTH STREET
SANITARY SEWER EXTENSIONS , AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH
SUCH CONSTRUCTION _ SHALL BE MADE

WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has the necessary legal, institutional,
managerial and a portion of the financial resources to finance, construct, operate
and maintain sewage treatment works and related facilities; and
WHEREAS , in accordance with the Paducah-McCracken County .201
Facilities Plan, new interceptor- sewers.. are _regtxired in .the .area of Eighth Street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY , OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
.SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
a Grant Agreement with the United States Environmental Protection Agency for
construction of Eighth Street Sanitary Sewer Extensions .
SECTION 2. That Wayne S. Upshaw, City Engineer, be, and .he is
hereby, authorized to serve as the, Project Manager for said construction..
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption .
