HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-3-1872ORDINANCE NO. 80-3-1872 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE FROM BELMONT EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC., OF FOUR (4) CUSHMAN TYPE VEHICLES, WITH DUMP BODIES AND HYDRAULIC PUMPS, AT A COST OF $6,442.00 PER VEHICLE, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has for several years used the Cushman type vehicle for refuse collection, and WHEREAS, these Cushman type vehicles simplify the collection of refuse in areas of the City without alleys, and WHEREAS, a determination has been made that Belmont Equipment Company, Inc . , is the single source of this type equipment and non competitive negotiations have taken place between Belmont Equipment Company and the City; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Belmont Equipment Company, Inc., for the purchase of four (4) Cushman Type Vehicles, according to the specifications last sumitted by the City of Paducah and as quoted by Belmont Equipment Company, Inc . , to the City on February 21, 1980. SECTION 2. The purchase price for said Cushman vehicles shall be charged to Federal Revenue Sharing Fund Account No. 3514. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced .and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter. i Mayor Introduced by the Board of Commissioners February 26, 1980 Passed by the Board of Commissioners March 11, 1980 Recorded by Louise McKinney, City Clerk, March 11, 1980. 531
