HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-2-1869525 ORDINANCE NO. 80-2-1869 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR, THE CLOSING OF AN ALLEY LYING BETWEEN KENTUCKY AVENUE AND WASHINGTON STREET AND BETWEEN JETTON BOULEVARD AND THE ICG RAILROAD - BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF -COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City- of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of an alley lying between Kentucky Avenue and Washington Street , and Between Jetton Boulevard and the --ICG Railroad, and more, particularly described- as follows: Beginning at -a- point in the :south right of way line of. said 21.5 foot alley 330 feet west of the intersection of said alley right of way -line with the Walter Jetton Blvd. west right.- of way line; thence in a westerly direction along said south right of way line --.of said -21-.;5 foot alley a distance- of 366-.5 feet to a point; thence at right angles and in a northerly direction a distance of 21.5 feet to a point in the north ,right of way line of said alley; thence at right angles in an east- erly direction with the north right of way line of said ,alley a distance of 366.5 feet to the west right of way line of a perpendicular alley; thence at, right angles in a southerly direction a distance of 21.5 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 94.360, an action in McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the alley described in Section 1 above. SECTION 3.
