A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE LABOR-MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
FOR ITS WORK IN LABOR-MANAGEMENT RELATIONSHIPS IN WESTERN KENTUCKY,
AND ENCOURAGING GOVERNOR BROWN TO CONTINUE STATE FUNDS FOR THE
OPERATION OF THE COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Western Kentucky Labor-Management Committee was organized
approximately twelve (12) years ago to foster better relations between labor and
management personnel in Western Kentucky, and
WHEREAS, said Committee has performed an outstanding function in the
performance of its objectives, and
WHEREAS, state monies from the Commonwealth of Kentucky to the Western
Kentucky Labor-Management Committee have been an important factor in the Com-
mittee's ability to carry otzt its objectives , and
WHEREAS, it appears there may be a question on the continued funding
of the Western Kentucky Labor-Management Committee by the Commonwealth of
Kentucky .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Western Kentucky Labor-Management Committee be
commended for its outstanding activities in the area of relations between labor
and management personnel in Western Kentucky, and be it further resolved that
the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah encourage and recommend to
Governor John Y . Brown Jr . that he continue financial allocation for the fiscal year
1980-81 for the Western Kentucky Labor-Management Committee.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption .
