HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-2-1857ORDINANCE NO. 80-2-1857 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WAHL'S EXCAVATING, FOR THE SUM OF $13,272.00, FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A NATURE TRAIL BRIDGE IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Wahl's Excavating for construction of a Nature Trail Bridge in the City of Paducah, for the sum of $13,272.00; said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on November 13, 1979, and as contained in the bid of Wahl's Excavating dated January 10, 1980. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is herby, authorized to execute a contract with Wahl's Excavating for the construction authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. The purchase price for said construction shall be charged to Community Development Block Grant Funds. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
