ORDINANCE NO. 80-1-1851
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF $3,930.60 TO SMITH
SANITATION COMPANY, FOR REPAIRS TO A FRONT END LOADER, RATIFYING THE
ACTION OF THE CITY MANAGER AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST
WHEREAS, ''a Model- D -B 1748 _six stage. telescopic cylinder used on a
front end loader ro e' and is_ -.-beyond repair, an _.
WHEREAS, Smith Sanitation Company is the only supplier of said cylinder,
and
WHEREAS, to prevent serious down-time of said front end loader, the
City Manager authorized the immediate purchase of said cylinder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City pay the invoice of Smith Sanitation Company,
in the amount of $3,930.60, for repairs to a front end loader, said invoice being in
substantial compliance with the quotation submitted by Smith Sanitation Company.
SECTION 2. The action of the City Manager, pursuant to KRS 424.260,
certifying an emergency existed is hereby approved and his actions thereunder are
hereby ratified.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said repairs shall be charged to
Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 3514.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one week
in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
