ORDINANCE NO. 80-1-1842
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING GUIDELINES FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
REHABILITATION GRANTS AND APPROVING SAID GUIDELINES
WHEREAS, Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974,
and as amended, provided for rehabilitation of privately owned properties, when
incidential to other activities, under the Community Development program, and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has established a need for Rehabilitation
Grants and desires to provide a portion of the Community Development Funds for
Rehabilitation Grants to- assist in the rehabilitation of existing, structurally sound,
housing where such funds are warranted.
AND WHEREAS, the Section 8 income admission limits, utilized by the
Rehabilitation Grant Program, are set by the United States Department of Housing
and Urban Development, in guidelines promulgated and revised from time -to -time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Department of Housing and Urban Development's
Section 8 admission income limits in their present amounts and fixture amounts and
the Rehabilitation Grant guidelines in form and amounts and future forms and amounts
be, and they are hereby, adopted and incorporated herein for the administering of
said Community Development Rehabilitation Grants.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be retroactive to December 1, 1979, and
all grants made thereafter are approved and ratified by the Board.
