AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A LETTER
OF AGREEMENT WITH THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY'S
FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY REQUESTING A PROVISIONALLY
ACCREDITED LEVEE DESIGNATION OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH'S FLOODWALL
AND TO AGREE TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE COMPLIANCE WITH THE CODE OF
FEDERAL REGULATIONS, TITLE 44, SECTION 65.10
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Letter of
Agreement with the U. S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management
Agency requesting a Provisionally Accredited Levee Designation of the City of Paducah's
Floodwall and to agree to provide adequate compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations,
Title 44, Section 65.10.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
