AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY APPROVING
CONTRACT ADDENDUMS NO. 2, 3, and 4 WITH THE PROFESSIONAL FIRE FIGHTERS
OF PADUCAH, LOCAL 168, INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT ADDENDUMS FOR
SAME
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 2008-1-7379, the City of Paducah authorized a
contract with Professional Fire Fighters of Paducah, Local 168, International Association of Fire
Fighters (IAFF); and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah and the IAFF executed a temporary
Memorandum of Understanding on August 15, 2008 to clarify Fire Department implementation
of Return to Work Policy (RM -8) of the Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual; and
WHEREAS, the City adopted Addendum No. 1 by Ordinance No. 2008-10-7475
on October 28, 2008, to memorialize the mutual promises agreed to between the City and IAFF
regarding transitional duty for firefighters as provided for in Return to Work Policy (RM -8); and
WHEREAS, Contract Addendum No. 2—Pay Table; Addendum No. 3—
Transitional Duty; and Addendum No. 4—Consumer Price Index were voted on by the IAFF on
March 11, 2010; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to authorize the Mayor to execute Contract
Addendums No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 between the City and IAFF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby approves Contract Addendum No.
2—Pay Table; Addendum No. 3—Transitional Duty; and Addendum No. 4—Consumer Price
Index with the Professional Fire Fighters of Paducah, Local 168, International Association of
Fire Fighters (IAFF) and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the contract addendums.
SECTION 2. That Contract Addendums No.2, 3, and 4 approved by the City in
Section 1 above shall become effective upon execution and will expire June 30, 2011.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
