At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, held in the Commission Chambers at
jl City Hall, at 5:00 p.m., September 1, 1999, Mayor Pro Tem Smith presided, and upon
call of the roll by the City Manager, the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Coleman, Paxton and Mayor ProTem Smith (3). Commissioner Wrye
arrived late (1) and Mayor Jones was absent (1).
R & F NOTICES
Commissioner Paxton offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the
executed Notices of Called Meeting for 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 1, 1999, be
received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Paxton,
and Mayor Pro Tem Smith (3).
Commissioner Wrye arrived at this time.
Gladman Humbles addressed the Commission and recommended they use Judge
Howerton as a mediator with the IAFF.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Commissioner Paxton offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the
Board go into closed session for discussion of matters pertaining to the following topics:
1. Collective bargaining with public employees, as permitted by KRS 61.810(1)(e).

At the conclusion of the Executive Session the Board reconvened in Open Session,
whereupon the Mayor Pro Tem announced there was no further business.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
