SECTION 1. That Section 20-77 "Speed limit in school zone", of the Code
of`'Ordinances_`of the City of Paducah,' Kentucky; "be amended and_r' 'ordained so that
said sections 'shall read as follow:
(a) The following school, zones shall be - established , - and- seliool ' flasher

(b) In those
areas- where -
the City of Paducah has
control of the highway,
it shall be unlawful for
any person to operate any motor vehicle at a speed in excess
of 15 miles per hour in
any school zone where school flasher
lights are in operation.
In all other areas the governmental unit having control of the
highway shall determine
the speed limit.
(c) "Highways" as used in this section shall mean any public road or
street maintained by the city, county or state.
(d) Any. person violatin'g7 any provision of this section "sliali; upon conviction
thereof, "be finedInot less than V& 0.0., nor -more than $100:`00 for each -offense.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective on September 1, 1978;
and the City Clerk is hereby ordered to have this ordinance published in full
immediately, in accordance with the provisions of KRS 424.030.
