BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF SODIUM CHLORIDE .FOR USE BY ITHE CITY'OF PADUCAH
KENTUCKY, AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON :WHICH SUCH PURCHASE'
SHALL BE MADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE.130ARD OF COM THE:CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTIONA That the City Manager be and he is hereby,. rauthotrzed
to advertise for, bids :for the purchase of Lapproximately 450 tons of sOdium Ohloride
for use by the City of Paducah through the period of March 31 1979, in accordance
with the spedificationd
Sodium chloride for highway use only to conforin lo AASHTO:'M-143
Type 1, Grade 1, as described in the State of Kentucky Highway
specifications.' This salt shall be dafetY treated an&iintrea.ted
highway salt, delivery FOB Paducah, in truck load lots. Antici-
pated quantity; 450 ztone.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shaft adVertise .for bids:by a notice
posted on the- btilletin board at City Hall and by inserting 'nOtice. bf-the request
for bids in the Paducah Sun to be published as ;required by law; All bids shall
be sealed and ±i� bid .61..16.11 be received after the: hour fixed in the notice for the
opening of same All bids received by the City Manager tip to the time fixed for
the opening of same shall: be with the &Dar& of Commissioners, who may let
a contract to the best responsible bidder, and the Board of COmmissioners shall
reserve the right to reject any and _all bids; and the City shall nOt-become iegally
obligated to purchase said sodium chloride until the adoption of an ordinance
authorizing the execution of a' coritra.6tr.
SECTION .3 This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption
