AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE WORKMEN'S
COMPENSATION INSURANCE FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
FOR 1978-1979 THROUGH THE KENTUCKY ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES - KENTUCKY
MUNICIPAL LEAGUE SELF INSURANCE FUND
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Association of Counties and the Kentucky Municipal
League have now established a self insurance fund which provides complete coverage
in accordance with Kentucky Workmen's Compensation law for employees of municipalities,
and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid fund offers to the City of Paducah a substantial
reduction in premiums as well as other benefits for improving its experience ratings,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
purchase Workmen's Compensation insurance from the Kentucky Association of Counties
- Kentucky Municipal League's self insurance fund, covering the employees of the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, for a one year period, for a total annual estimated insurance
premium of $152,375.00 and- such additional sums as may be required for payroll in-
creases above the payroll for the preceeding year.
SECTION 2. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one week
