ORDINANCE NO. 78-7-1590
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JAMES HITE PAINTING COMPANY,
FOR THE SUM OF $8,471.00, FOR REPAIR AND PAINTING OF THE CEILING UNDER
ROOF, PODIUM, COLUMNS, WINDOWS, DOORS AND FRAMES OF THE CITY HALL
BUILDING, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SUCH REPAIR AND PAINTING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of James Hite
Painting Company, for the sum of $8,471.00, for repair and painting of the ceiling
under roof, podium, columns, windows, doors and frames of the City Hall building,
said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specificationa and advertisement
for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on
June 13, 1978, and as contained in the bid of James Hite Painting Company, dated
June 20, 1978.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with James Hite Painting Company for the repair and painting
authorized in Section I above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and
all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. -The purchase price for said repairs and painting shall
be charged to Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 1712.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
