HomeMy WebLinkAbout78-7-1587925 ORDINANCE NO. 78-7-1587 AN ORDINANCE -AMENDING SECTION 2-47 "NONCIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES GENERALLY" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION -1. That Section 2-47 Noncivil Service Employees Generally", of the Code of Ordinances of the City u of Paducah, Kentucky, be 'amended and reordained so that same as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Section 2-47. Noncivil service employees generally. (c) The code enforcement officer B shall be paid at the rate $879A0' per month for the first year of employment; at the expiration of one year $889.00 per month; and ' at the expiration of two ' years $899.00 per month, such increases -to be made upon recommendation of the city manager . (d) The switchboard operator shall be paid- at the rate of $512.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $522.00` per month; at the expiration of one year $532.00 per month; and at the -expiration of two years $542.00 per month,' such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. - (e) -The clerk -typist -secretary police department, shall be paid at the rate of $696.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $706.00 per month; at the expiration of one year -$716.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $726.00 per month; and at the expiration of four years $736.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. 927 (f) The clerk -typist planning and development department shall be paid at the. rate of $578.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six _months $623.00 per month; at the expiration. of one-year $633..00 per_ month; at the.. expiration of two years $643.00 per month; at the .expiration of three years $653.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation. of the .city manager. (g) The office manager, Floodwall Department, .shall be paid at the rate of $75.5.. 0.0. per month for the first year of employment; at the expiration of one. _year, $77.3.0.0 per month; and at the expiration, of two years_ $783.00 per month;, such in creases _to be made upon recommendation of the .city _manager . (h) The executive secretary - general_ government shall.be. paid, at- the rate of $.696...00 _ per month for the first _six- months. of . employment; at the expiration of six-. months $706.00 per month; .-at the .expiration, of_ one year., $716.00 _,per _month;,, at. the expiration of two years $726.00,_per month;, and. at,.the expiration offour years $73.6.. 00.. ,per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation_ of the ,city - manager. (i) Deleted. (j) For such period of time as the City, of Paducah receives _general and/or special revenue sharing funds from the United States Government., the Board of Com- missioners may, upon recommendation of the city manager,,, employ by, motion.. such. additional personnel as the _city may need from time- to. time, and the salaries paid shall be .the .same, as those provided by ordinance for, comparable positions.. The. salaries paid .;shall be from federal .revenues but the position created, shall ,provide all benefits as are now required for the full-time permanent employees of the City of Paducah.._ (k)., The Deputy Electrical Inspector II shall be. paid at _ the rate ,of $1,015.00 per month until; such time as he receives from the Commonwealth of _Kentucky his electrical certification, whereupon his, salary shall be $1, 068 .00 _per month". SECTION 2. This ordinance amends an ordinance originally adopted on March. 16, 1957, and last -amended by Ordinance No. .78-5-1556., _adopted May 23., .1978. SECTION,- 3. This ordinance shall.,be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption and retroactive to .July_ 3, ,1978.
