AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLAN RHODES FORD AND HONDA
FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE 1978 FORD F100 PICKUP TRUCK, FOR THE SUM OF
$4,406.21, LESS _$500.00 TRADE IN OFA 1971 CHEVROLET PICKUP TRUCK, MAKING
A NET COST TO THE CITY OF $3,906.21, TO BE USED BY THE STREET DEPARTMENT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City accept the bid of Allan Rhodes Ford and Honda
for sale to the City of one 1978 F100 Pickup truck, for the sum of $4,406.21, less
$500.00 trade in of a 1971 Chevrolet pickup truck, making a net cost to the City. of
$3,906.21, said bid being in substantial compliance_ with the bid specifications and
advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Com-
missioners on April 17, 1978, and as contained in the bid of Allan Rhodes Ford and
Honda, dated May 5, 1978.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Allan Rhodes Ford and Honda for sale to the City of the pickup
truck authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal
and all contract documents heretofore approved. and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said equipment shall be charged to
Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 3414.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for
one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon
its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days
thereafter .
