A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PADUCAH TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE;,COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE
MMUN T FLOOD OD 'D 'MACE_ BA TEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth Department for Natural Resources J/
and Environmental Protection has approved one hundred percenf financing of a'feasibility
study for a movable floodwall between Jefferson Street and Kentucky:, Avenue as a pro-
ject under- the C.ommunity Flood Damage- A,b;atement7,Program; and
WHEREAS, the City, of -Paducah;=.Kentucky, desires: that such a- study be
conducted,
NOW -THEREFORE BE= -1r r RESOLVED-.:-BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY QF PADUCAH,,--KENTUCKY::
SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and he is_;hereby; authorized and directed
'_:...to ..enter .into an -agreement with the Commonwealth of Kentucky authorizing a feasibility
study for a movable floodwall between Jefferson Street and Kentucky. Avenue under the
terms and provisions of the Community Flood Damage Abatement Program.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force -and -.effect •from .and =after
the date of its adoption.
