A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE PADUCAH McCRACKEN COUNTY CONVENTION
CENTER CORPORATION DEFINING THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE ADMINIS-
TRATION OF A $2.9 MILLION URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACTION GRANT
WHEREAS, the City has received a $2.9 million Urban Development Action
Grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to be used for the
development of a convention center facility, and
WHEREAS, the City, as recipient of such grant, is therefore responsible
for compliance with federal regulations regarding the expenditure of said funds, and
WHEREAS, the Corporation has been duly created for the purpose of
planning, constructing, and administering a convention center facility, and
WHEREAS, the City and Corporation each desire to cooperate fully with
each other and do therefore desire to have a written agreement in order to more
fully define their respective areas of responsibility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to execute an agreement with the Paducah McCracken County Con-
vention Center Corporation defining the City' s responsibilities for the administration
of a $2.9 million Urban Development Grant.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
