A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
AN AGREEMENT OF PARTICIPATION BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,
AND THE KENTUCKY MUNICIPAL LEAGUE UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION INSURANCE
TRUST
WHEREAS, Public Law 94 -566, unemployment compensation amendments of
1976, and H.B. 634, enacted by the 1978 General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky mandates unemployment compensation coverage by public employers, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, that the City' s compliance with the aforesaid Acts may best be
accomplished by designating the Kentucky Municipal League Unemployment Compen-
sation Insurance Trust as its agent to provide on its behalf various specified un-
employment compensation services,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed
to execute an Agreement of Participation between the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
and the Kentucky Municipal League Unemployment Compensation Trust which sets
forth, with particularly, the agreements and obligations of the City and the KML
Trust for purposes of complying with Public Law 94-566, Unemployment compensation
amendments of 1976, and H.B. 64 enacted by the 1978 General Assembly of the
Commonwealth of Kentucky.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
