AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AGREEMENT NO. 68-5C16-10-009
BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE,
NATURAL RESOURCES CONSERVATION SERVICE, FOR THE 2009 ICE STORM
DEBRIS REMOVAL PROJECT FROM STREAMS AND CREEKS WITHIN THE CITY OF
PADUCAH; AUTHORIZES THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT, AND
FURTHER, AUTHORIZES THE CITY ENGINEER/PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO
EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE DAMAGE SURVEY REPORT
AND DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE RECOVERY OF FUNDS ASSOCIATED
WITH THE PROJECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City hereby approves an Agreement between the City of
Paducah, Kentucky and the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation
Service, for the 2009 Ice Storm Debris Removal from streams and creeks within the City of
Paducah in the amount of $7,558.13. The City will provide matching funds in the amount of
$2,519.37, for a total project cost of $10,077.50. Further, the City authorizes the Mayor to
execute said Agreement.
SECTION 2. That the City hereby authorizes the City Engineer/Public Works
Director to execute all documents associated with the Damage Survey Report and documents
necessary for the recovery of funds associated with the project upon execution of the Agreement
approved in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to FEMA01 Project Account.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
