ORDINANCE NO. -78-12-1667
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PADUCAH TO GUARANTEE,
AS SURETY FOR THE PADUCAH GOLF COMMISSION, ALL PAYMENTS IN LIEU OF
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT
INSURANCE IN THE EVENT OF DEFAULT
WHEREAS, the Paducah Golf Commission of Paducah, Kentucky, must pay
unemployment insurance to the Commonwealth of Kentucky beginning January 1, 1978,
pursuant to KRS 341, and
WHEREAS, the Paducah Golf Commission of Paducah, Kentucky, on
December 13, 1978, adopted a resolution electing the reimbursement method of pay-
ment for unemployment insurance, and
WHEREAS, the Paducah Golf Commission also adopted a resolution to re-
quest the City of Paducah to act as its surety for reimbursement of payments in
lieu of contributions for unemployment insurance to the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That in the event the Paducah Golf Commission ceases
operation owing to the Commonwealth of Kentucky, unemployment benefits, or other-
wise fails to pay and reimburse the Commonwealth for said benefits pursuant to
its election and agreement to do so under KRS 341, the City of Paducah-, Kentucky,
hereby agrees to pay and reimburse to the Commonwealth of Kentucky one-half
of any and all sums for which said Golf Commission is in default by virtue of its
election to provide unemployment insurance benefits under the reimbursement
method.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
