AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -SECTION (b) OF SECTION -7z-10, PADUCAH
CABLE COMMUNICATIONS AUTHORITY -.OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT- ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF -COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION -I.- � That.. Sub-section.,(b) of Section V-10, Paducah Cable
Communications Authority of the Code of Ordinances be. amended to read as, follows:
11.(b)_ -,Membership; chairman. The . authority shall consist of five (5 )
members of which not less than three (3)- shall be residents of the city and all
members shall -be appointed by the mayor: and approved by the commission Each
member shall serve a term of five-(5),;year.s; provided,- however, that, appointments -
to the first, authority shall. b.9 -for ; -one. (1) .r.. -two.- (2 ), th-ree (3) , four- (4) - and -five (5 )
year terms respectively. Any vacancy in the office- shallbe filled by appointment of
the mayor. ;and. approval -of the commission- for. the -remainder of the term. - No
employee or person with any ownership. interest . in any . cable television franchise
granted pursuant .to, this chapter shall -be eligible for, membership on the authority.
The city manager, or his authorized representative, may, serve -as an ex officio
nonvoting member. of the authority. The authority shall annually select from-, among
its number. -a, chairman
who
shall preside; over the
meetings".
