A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL
DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO APPLY FOR MASS TRANSIT GRANTS , ADMINISTERED
BY FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION AND URBAN MASS PUBLIC TRANSPOR-

TATION ADMINI5TR.ATION, FOR FUNDS TO ESTABLISH A PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
SYSTEM
WHEREAS , the City of Paducah presently does not have a public mass
transit system , and
WHEREAS , there is a definite need of the public for a mass public
transportation system within the City of Paducah, and
WHEREAS , grants are available from the Federal Highway Administration
and Urban Mass Public Transit Administration .

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
any and all documents necessary for the application of grants for the establishment

of a public transportation system , which grants are available from the joint admin-
istration of the Federal Highway Administration and Urban Mass Public Transit
Administration .
SECTION 2. This resolution will be in full force immediately upon
its adoption .
