ORDINANCE NO. 79-12-1834
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF SOUTH
TWENTY-FIFTH STREET BETWEEN BROADWAY AND KENTUCKY AVENUE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of
a portion of South Twenty-fifth Street between Broadway and Kentucky Avenue, and
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the north right of way line of
Kentucky Avenue with the east right of way line of 25th Street;
thence along the projection. of said Kentucky. Avenue. north right
of way line in a westerly direction across 25th Street a dis-
tance- of 60 -feet ,to the west right of way line of, -25th , Street; _.
thence in a northerly direction with the west right of way line of
25th Street a distance of .34.6.5;feet to a_ -point in the south right
of way line of Broadway; thence along the projection of said
Broadway south right of way line in an easterly direction across
25th Street a distance of 60 feet to the east right of way line of
25th Street; thence in a southerly direction with the east right
of way line of 25th Street a distance of 346.5 feet to the point
of beginning.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute,
pursuant to KRS 94.360, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment
ordering the closing of the street described in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
