ORDINANCE NO. 79-12-1832
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JAX CONSTRUCTION, INC . , FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC WORKS' GARAGES, FOR THE -SUM OF $679,109.00, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER" TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF' COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of JAX Construction,
Inc:. for. -construction of Public Works Garages; for the sum of $679;109.00, said bid
being in: substantial compliance with the -bid specifications and advertisement for "bids
as was -'authorized by Resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on Nov-
ember 13, 1979, and as contained in the bid" of JAX Construction, Inc'. dated Dec-
ember ,7, 1979.
SECTION 2. " That the City" -Manager,. ,subject"tothe sale and delivery of
the Public Works Improvement Corporation First Mortgage Revenue" Bonds in the sum
of $825, 000.0'0- by the City: of .'Paducah or a Corporation authorized. by the City of
Paducah, be, and , he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract . with JAX Con-
struction., Inc . , for construction: of - Public Works.: Garages_ authorized in . Section ._ 1
above according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents here-
tofore approved and incorporated - in -the" bid..
SECTION 3. The construction .of said Public Works' Garages shall be
charged to the Public Works Cumulative Reserve Fund.
SECTION 4. This- ordinance" shall be introduced and:. remain on file for
one week for public- inspection in. the :completed .formin which it shall be .-put upon
its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days
thereafter.
