ORDINANCE NO. 79-11-1818
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 79-10-1807,
CORRECTING THE SELLING PRICE OF A 1980 FORD BRONCO FOR USE BY THE
FLOODWALL DEPARTMENT TO $9,009.00 LESS .$200.00 FOR TRADE-IN OF A
1971 CHEVROLET PICKUP TRUCK, MAKING A NET OF $8,809.00
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners, on October 23, 1979, gave final
adoption to Ordinance No. 79-10-1807, approving the expenditure of a net sum of
$8,609.00 to Allan Rhodes Ford and Honda for the purchase of a 1980 Ford Bronco
for use by the Floodwall Department, and
WHEREAS, the total cost of said 1980 Ford Bronco should have read
in the amount of $9,009.00 less $200.00 for trade-in of a 1971 Chevrolet Pickup
truck, making a net cost of $8,809.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 79-10-1807 be, and it is
hereby, amended and reordained to read as follows:
"Sec. 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Allan Rhodes
Ford and Honda for sale to the City of one 1980 Ford Bronco for
use by the Floodwall Department, for the sum of $9,009.00 less
$200.00 for trade-in of one 1971 Chevrolet Pickup Truck, making
a net sum of $8,809.00; said bid being in substantial compliance
with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was
authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on
August 28, 1979, and as contained in the bid of Allan Rhodes
Ford and Honda, dated October 1, 1979".
SECTION 2. That all other sections of Ordinance No. 79-10-1807 are
hereby reaffirmed and reordained .
SECTION 3. An emeregency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one
week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and
if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
