ORDINANCE NO. 79-10-1810
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF SHELTON FORD TRACTOR FOR
SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE FORD 1700 TRACTOR FOR USE BY THE CEMETERY
DEPARTMENT, FOR THE SUM OF $12,783.00 LESS $3,796.00 FOR TRADE-IN OF A
MINI BACKHOE, MAKING A NET COST TO THE CITY OF $8,987.00, AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Shelton Ford
Tractor for sale to the City of one Ford 1700 Tractor for use by the Cemetery De-
partment, for the sum of $12,783.00 less $3,796.00 for trade-in of a mini backhoe,
making a net cost to the City of $8,987.00; said bid being in substantial compliance
with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution
passed by the Board of Commissioners on September 25, 1979, and as contained in the
bid of Sheton Ford Tractor, dated October 8, 1979.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Shelton Ford Tractor for sale to the City of the tractor
authorized in Section l .above,. according to- the specifications.; bid proposal and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated: in the bid.
SECTION :3., -.The 'purchase price for said: tracton.shall be charged to
General Fund Account No. 3614.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for
one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put up-
on its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days
thereafter.
