HomeMy WebLinkAbout79-10-1804404 ORDINANCE NO. 79-10-1804 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF SUMNER OLDS, INC . , FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF THREE (3) 1980 CUTLASS SALON AUTOMOBILES FOR USE BY THE INSPECTION DEPARTMENT, FOR THE SUM OF $17,070.78 LESS $2,020.78 FOR TRADE- IN OF TWO 1973 FORD MAVERICKS AND ONE 1974 CHEVROLET NOVA, MAKING A NET SUM OF $15,050.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Sumner Olds, Inc . , for sale to the City of Three (3) 1980 Cutlass salon Automobiles for use by the Inspection Department, for the sum of $17,070.78 less $2,020.78 for trade-in of two 1973 Ford Mavericks and one 1974 Chevrolet Nova, making a net sum of $15,050.00; said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on September 11, 1979, and as contained in the bid of Sumner Olds,* Inc. ; dated October 4, 1979. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Sumner Old -s;- Inc., for sale to the City. -of the three automobiles authorized in section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all— contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. The purchase price for said automobiles shall be charged to General Fund Account No. 3014. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
