ORDINANCE NO. 79-9-1794
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF SOUTH WESTERN COMMUNICATIONS
FOR MATERIALS AND INSTALLATION OFA SOUND SYSTEM IN THE TOWNLIFT AREA,
FOR THE SUM OF $151531.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE. CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of South Western
Communications= for materials and installation of a sound system in the Townlift Area,
for the sum of $15,531-.00, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid
specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by
the Board of Commissioners on August 14, 1979, and as contained in the bid of
South Western Communications, dated August 31, 1979.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with South Western Communications for materials and installation
of a sound system in the Townlift Area authorized in Section 1 above, according
to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved
and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said sound system shall be charged
to Community Development Block Grant Funds.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one
week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if
adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
