AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID -OF ,MIDSTATES CONSTRUCTION, INC.
FOR. .CONSTRUCTION -OF NO. 3 FIRE STATION,. LOCATED ON F-RIEDMAN -LANE IN THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE SUM OF $261,399.00, AND -AUTHORIZING _THE
CITY _MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH t CONSTRUCTION -
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS .OF THE CITY OF
PAD,UCAH, _ KENTUCKY.:
SECTION 1. That, the City of Paducah accept .the bid of Midstates Con-
struction, Inc. for construction of No. 3 Fire Station, located on Friedman . Lane in the
City of Paducah, for the sum of $261,399.00; said bid being in substantial compliance
with the bid. _specifications and advertisement for bids as was -authorized, by resolution
passed by the .Board, of Commissioners on October 23, 1979,, and as contained in the
bid of Midstates Construction, Inc . , dated November 21, 1979.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be,_, ..and.,he is, hereby; authorized to
execute a contract with, Midstates Construction, Inc.., authorized in Section 1 above
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore
approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The construction of said Fire Station No. 3 shall be charged
to Public Works Cumulative Reserve Fund.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for
one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon
its final passage, and., if adopted shall be in, full.. force and . effect. ten. (10). _days there-
after. -
