ORDINANCE NO. 79-8-1780
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING. -THE. BID OF JAX CONSTRUCTION,, INC.
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE BOYS' CLUB PROJECT, FOR THE SUM OF $184,782.00,,-
AND_ AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH
CONSTRUCTION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the i City of Paducah accept the. bid of JAX -Construction,
Inc. for construction of the Boys! Club Project ,,for the sum of $184,782.00, said_._,,
bid being in_substantial compliance with the. bid., specifications and advertisement
for bids as was authorized by.. resolution 'passed by the Board. of Commissioners on
March 27, 1979, and as contained in the bid of JAX Construction,, Inc.. , dated
May 3, 1979.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be. and he is hereby,. authorized to
execute a contract with JAX Construction, Inc., for ^ construction of the Boys' Club
Project authorized in Section 1 above,. according to the specifications,, bid proposal
and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the ,bid..
SECTION 3. The construction of, said Boys'. Club Project- shall be
charged to Community Development Block Grant Funds.
SECTION 4.
An emergency
is declared to exist and this
ordinance shall
therefore be introduced
and remain on
file for public inspection for
at least one
week in the completed form in which it shallbe put upon its final passage, and, if
adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
