HomeMy WebLinkAboutBids for 1980 Sedan301 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER, ~ TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE 1980 FOUR DOOR SEDAN AUTOMOBILE TO BE USED BY THE PADUCAH _ FIRE DEPARTMENT , -AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY: .. , . _ ~,-, • , ~.. ~ , .. -- ,.~. • -. , , SECTION' !1 .. ~• what -the City` ~1Vlariager ~be, -arid he=' is"~liereby, atiflorized to advertise for bids for the purchase of one 1980 four door sedan automobile , to be used by the Paducah Fire Department, said automobile to have the following specifications: Minimum wheel base of 114 inches V-8 engine, minimum 300 cubic inch displacement Whitewall steel belted radial tires Power steering Factory installed air conditioning Automatic transmission Power front disc brakes Front and rear bumper guards AM radio Tinted glass complete Full wheel covers Vinyl insert body side moldings Heavy duty battery Traction-Lok rear axle Remote control mirrors. - drivers side 100 amp alternator Cloth and vinyl seat trim Color -red Lights to meet all ICC specifications Standard equipment to be described by dealer Spotlight to be furnished by the City -but installed by the successful bidder at no additional cost . SECTION 2. Each bid received shall designate the amount with and without allowance for trade-in of a 1973 Ford 4-door sedan. The City of Paducah reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids with or without trade-in allowances . SECTION 3. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted on the bulletin board at City Hall and by inserting notice of the request for bids in the Paducah Sun to be published as required by law . All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of same . All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed for the opening of same shall be -filed with the Board of Commissioners , who may let a contract to the best responsible bidder, and the Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids, and the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said automobile until the final adoption of an authorizing ordinance and the execution of a contract . 302 _ :i. ~- .. ,; ~, ,.. -. -t . .. ., .- ._ ... - .. _. . _ - -
