ORDINANCE NO. 79-6-1750
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH
OF TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-THREE (253) SQUARE FEET OF RIGHT `OF WAY ON ADAMS
STREET TO PORTEC , INC.
WHEREAS, an encroachment has existed for many years whereby a portion
of the land belonging to Portec, Inc. is situated upon a portion of the right of way
of Adams Street, and
WHEREAS, the present property owners desire to correct the aforesaid
problem for the purpose of clarifying the status of their title, and
WHEREAS, thee- office of the Corporation = Counsel and City Engineer
recommend the conveyance .of` the two huhdred- fifty-three (253) square feet •to
Portec, Inc . , for the aforesaid purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That for and in consideration of the building encroachment,
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute a quitclaim
deed to Portec, Inc., conveying 253 square feet of land situated upon the right of
way line of Adams Street.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for
one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon
its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days
thereafter.
