That Section 2-47 "Noncivil Service Employees Generally", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that same as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Section 2-47. Noncivil service employees generally. (d) The switchboard operator shall be paid at the rate of $564.00 per month for , the first six months of employment; at the expiration; of six months $574.'00 per month; at the expiration of one year $584.00 per month; and at the expiration of: two years' $594.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of` the city manager. 231 (e) The clerk -typist -secretary police department, shall be paid at the rate of $766.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $776.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $786.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $796.00 per month; and at the expiration of four years $806.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (f) The clerk -typist planning and community development department shall be paid at the rate of $636.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $681.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $691.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $701.00 per month; at the expiration of three years $711.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (g) The office manager, Floodwall Department, shall be paid at the rate of $831.00 per month for the first year of employment; at the expiration of one year, $849.00 per month; and at the expiration of two years $859.00 per month; such in- creases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (h) The executive secretary - general government shall be paid at the rate of $766.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $776.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $786.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $796.00 per month; and at the expiration of four years $806.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (i) Deleted. (j) . For such period of time as the City of Paducah receives general and/or special revenue sharing funds from the United States Government, the Board of Com- missioners may, upon recommendation of the city manager, employ by motion such additional personnel as the city may need from time to time, and the salaries paid shall be the same as those provided by ordinance for comparable positions. The salaries paid shall be from federal revenues but the position created shall provide all benefits as are now required for the full-time permanent employees of the City of Paducah. (k) The Deputy Electrical Inspector II shall be paid at the rate of $1,117.00 per month until such time as he receives from the Commonwealth of Kentucky his electrical certification, whereupon his salary shall be $1,170.00 per month". SECTION 2. This ordinance amends an ordinance originally adopted on March 16, 1957, and last amended by Ordinance No. 779-2-1681, adopted on February 13, 1979. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect as of July 2, 1979. 232
