ORDINANCE NO. 79-6-1736
AN ORDINANCE: ,AUTHORIZING._ THE PAYMENT OF _$3., 833.52 TO. YORK DIVISION
OF BORG-WARNER CORPORATION ,. FOR REPAIRS TO THE CITY- . HALL HEATING AND
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, RATIFYING, , G. -ACTION OF -.THE GITY-MANAGER AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST
WHEREAS, due to mechanical problems, the heating and air conditioning
system of the City Hall building needed repairs immediately, and
WHEREAS, it was deemed by the City Manager, upon advice of the
Maintenance Department Director, that an emergency existed and that it was imperative
that existing equipment be repaired, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager, pursuant to KRS 425.260, certified an
emergency existed and authorized the immediate procural of repairs to said heating
and air conditioning system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City pay the invoice of York Division of Borg-Warner
Corporation, in the amount of $3,833.52, for repairs to the heating and air conditioning
system of the City Hall building, said invoice being in substantial compliance with
the quotation submitted by York Division of Borg-Warner Corporation.
SECTION 2. The action of the City Manager, pursuant to KRS 424.260,
certifying an emergency existed is hereby approved and his action thereunder are
hereby ratified.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said repairs shall be charged to
General Fund Account No. 1732.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one
week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if
adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
