ORDINANCE NO. 79-6-1732
AN ,ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12-28. OF ARTICLE .II, FIRE .DEPART-
MENT, AND SECTION 2.5-19 OF ARTICLE .I,_ POLICE DEPARTMENT, OF _THE, -.CODE. OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF . PADUCAH , KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS_ OF THE _CITY OF.
PADUCAH , KENTUCKY:
SECTION_ 1. That Section 12-2,8 of .Article II, Fire Department,of the Code
of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be _amended and reordained so that
said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter .read .as follows:
"Sec. 12-28.. Same.-- Salary.
Any person occupying -the position of noncivil service fire department
switchboard operator shall be paid at. the rate of $792.00 per monthforthe, first six
months of employment; at the expiration of six months $802.00 per month;- at -the
expiration of one year $812.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $822.00
per month; at
the expiration of three years
$832.00 per
month, and at the
expiration
of five years
$842'.00' per month. The said
switchboard
operator shall be
entitled to
receive the same longevity pay as all other regular full-time employees of the City
of Paducah as is provided -in Section 2-54 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Paducah".
SECTION 2. .,That Section 25-19 of Article .I, Police Department,_ of the
Code of Ordinances. of the, City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained
so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 25-19. Same - Salary.
Any person occupying the position of communications clerk in the police
department of the City of Paducah, shall be paid at the rate of $759.00 per month
for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $769.00 per
month; at the expiration of one year $779.00 per month; at the expiration of two
years $789.00 per month; at the expiration of three years $799.00 per month; and
at the expiration of five years $809.00 per month. Communications clerk shall be
eligible to receive the longevity pay as other regular full-time employees of the
City as is provided in Section 2-54 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky".
SECTION 3. Section 1 and 2 amends Ordinance No. 78-7-1589, adopted
the Board of Commissioners on July 25, 197SP.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect as of
July 2, 1979.
