AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WAHL'S EXCAVATING COMPANY,
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE III OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT STREET
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, FOR THE SUM OF $39,530.30, AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Wahl's Excavating
Company, for construction of Phase III of the Community Development Street Improve-
ment Program, for the sum of $39,530.30, said bid being in substantial compliance
with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by
Resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on March 13, 1979, and as contained
in the bid of Wahl's Excavating Company, dated April 4, 1979.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Wahl's Excavating Company for construction of Phase III of
the Community Development Street Improvement Program authorized in Section 1
above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents
hereto approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The construction of said street improvement program shall
be charged to Community Development Block Grant Funds.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for
one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon
its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days
thereafter.
