. AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLAN RHODES FORD AND
HONDA FOR SALE. TO THE CITY . OF SEVEN 1979 FORD AUTOMOBILES AND ONE 1979
LTD STATION WAGON TO BE USED BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, FOR THE SUM OF
$48,995.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:.
SECTION 1. That .the City accept the bid of Allan Rhodes Ford and
Honda for sale to the City of seven 1979 Ford automobiles and one 1979 LTD Station
wagon, to be used by the .Police Department, for the sum of $48,995.00, said bid
being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids
as was authorized by Resolution passed by. the Board of Commissioners March 27, 1979,
and as contained, in the bid, of Allan Rhodes Ford and Honda, dated April 13, 1979.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Allan Rhodes Ford and Honda for sale to the City of the
automobiles authorized in Section 1 above according to the specifications, bid proposal
and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said automobiles shall be charged
to Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 2114.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for one week for public inspection in the completed form, in which it shall be put
upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten -(10) days
thereafter.
