AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF GOODYEAR SERVICE STORES, FOR
FURNISHING. THE .CITY OF PADUCAH- WITH_ IT'S- REQUIREMENT OF, NEW AUTOMOBILE
AND TRUCK TIRE -S FOR THE -PERIOD FR.O.M,JANUARY 1-, 1979 TO, DECEMBER 31, 1979,
AND AUTHORIZING, _THE CITY MANAGER -TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH
PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY , OF
PADUCAH , . KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.. That the City, of Paducah accept the bid of Goodyear Service
Stores, for furnishing the City , of ,Paducah with At's requirement of new automobile
and truck tires for the, period of time from..,January 1, 1979 to December 31, 1979,
said bid being . in_ substantial- compliance -with the specifications set- out in the
resolution dated January. 23, .1979, adopted by the Board of Commissioners authorizing
bids, and .as_ contained in, the bid,. -of _ Goodyear_. Service Stores which was received
and filed with the Minutes. of, the meeting:of :March 13,.:-1979.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with
Goodyear Service
Stores, for the
purchase of the materials
as set out in Section 1
above according to
said resolution
and bid.
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain- on file for public inspection for at least one week
in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
