AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE --NO - 79 -1 -1675 -'!AN ORDINANCE
ACCEPTING THE BID OF KENTUCKY MACHINERY, ,INC ,FOR -SALE- TO THE ,CITY OF- -
PADUCAH OF A NEW FIAT-ALLIS FL14B CRAWLER FRONT END LOADER TO, -BE
USED BY THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT", TO AUTHORIZE PAYMENT.- OF RENT ON A
FIAT-ALLIS FL14B CRAWLER FRONT END LOADER - -
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE- CITY OF
PADUCAH , .:KEN:TUCKY: _
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of.Ordinance No. 7;9-171675..be, and it is
hereby,- deleted- in its entirety and is hereby amended to read as -.follows,:
"SECTION 1.
That the City of Paducah accept the bid of •Kentucky Machinery,
Inc . , for sale to the City of a new Fiat -Allis FL14B Crawler Front End Loader to be
used by
the. Refuse Department for the
sum of
$79,300.00, less
$10,500.00 as trade-
in of an
Interantional 250-C front end
loader,
and authorize the
payment of that
portion of the monthly rental charges for the machine that does not apply toward
purchase; the same being payment for a maximum of five (5) months or a cum-
ulative payment not to exceed $4,664.00 including initial transportation charge of
$270.00; said bid -being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and
advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of
Commissioners on October 24, 1978, and -as. contained, in the bid of. -Kentucky
Machinery, Inc . , dated November .2 ,. -19781'
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Kentucky Machinery, Inc. for sale to the City of the
equipment authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid pro-
posal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said equipment shall be charged to
Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 3514.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one
week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if
adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
