ORDINANCE NO. 79-2-1690
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF AN ALLEY LYING BETWEEN
KENTUCKY AVENUE, WASHINGTON, 21ST AND 22ND STREETS, SUBJECT TO THE
RETENTION OF A UTILITY EASEMENT RUNNING FROM 21ST STREET TO 22ND STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of
an alley lying between Kentucky Avenue, Washington, 21st and 22nd Streets, and
more particularly described as follows:
A 25 toot alley and a 15 foot alley bounded by Kentucky Avenue
and Washington Street, 21st Street and 22nd Street, more parti-
cularly described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the west right of way
line of 21st Street and the north right of way line of a 25 foot
alley said point being 160.75 feet south of the south right of
way line of Kentucky Avenue; thence West along said north
right of way line of the 25 foot alley a distance of 250 feet to
the east right of way line of 22nd Street; thence in a southerly
direction along said east right of way line of 22nd Street a
distance of 25 feet to the south right of way line of said alley;
thence in an easterly direction along the south right of way
line of the 25 foot alley a distance of 117.5 feet to the west
right of way line of a 15 foot alley; thence in a southerly
direction with the west right of way line of said 15 foot alley
a distance of 160.75 feet to the north right of way line of
Washington Street; thence in an easterly direction along said
north right of way line of Washington Street a distance of 15
feet to the east right of way line of said alley; thence in a
northerly direction with the east right of way line of said 15
foot alley a distance of 160.75 feet to the south right of way
line of a 25 foot alley; thence in an easterly direction along
the south right of way line of the 25 foot alley a distance of
117.5 feet to the west right of way line of 21st Street; thence
in a northerly direction along the west right of way line of
21st Street (projected) 25 feet to the point of beginning.
Utility Easement to be retained
Beginning at the point of intersection of the west right of way
line of 21st Street and the north right of way line of a 25 foot
alley said point being 160.75 feet south of the south right of
way line of Kentucky Avenue; thence west along said north
right of way line of the 25 foot alley a distance of 250 feet to
the east right of way line of 22nd Street; thence in a southerly
direction along said east right of way line of 22nd Street a
distance of 15 feet; thence in a easterly direction parallel to
the north right of way line of a 25 foot alley a distance of 250
feet to a point in the west right of way line of 21st Street;
thence in a northerly direction along the west right of way line
of 21st Street a distance of 15 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute,
pursuant to KRS 94.360, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment

ordering the closing of the alley described in Section 1 above .
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
