ORDINANCE NO. 79-1-1672
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 78-12-1667 WHICH WAS ADOPTED
ON DECEMBER 28, 1978 AND- AN ERROR WAS CONTAINED THEREIN WHICH THE BOARD
OF COMMISSIONERS -DESIRES TO CORRECT
I THEREFORE MOVE THAT AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
78-12--1667 BE AMENDED AND REORDAINED TO,READ AS FOLLOWS:
"AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PADUCAH TO GUARANTEE,
AS SURETY FOR THE- PADUCAH GOLF COMMISSION-,- ALL PAYMENTS- IN LIEU OF CON-
TRIBUTIONS TO THE- COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE
IN THE EVENT OF DEFAULT
"WHEREAS, the Paducah Golf Commission of Paducah , Kentucky, must
pay unemployment- insurance to - ;the Commonwealth, of Kentucky, beginning
January, 1, 1979 , pursuant to KIiRS 341, and
"WHEREAS, the Paducah. Golf Commission. of Paducah:, Kentucky ; on
December 13, 1-978, adopted a resolution electing the; reimbursement method of pay-
ment for. unemployment insurance and
"WHEREAS,. the Paducah Golf Commission also- adopted a e resolution to .
request the City of Paducah to act as its surety for reimbursement- of payments in
lieu of contributions for unemployment insurance to the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
"NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
"SECTION 1. That in the event the Paducah Golf Commission ceases
operation owing to the Commonwealth of Kentucky, unemployment benefits, or other-
wise fails to pay and reimburse the Commonwealth for said benefits pursuant to
its election and agreement to do so under KRS 341, the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
hereby agrees to pay and reimburse to the Commonwealth of Kentucky any and all
sums for which said Golf Commission is in default by virtue of its election to pro-
vide unemployment insurance benefits under the reimbursement method".
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
