AN ORDINAN.CE,-AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AMENDMENT OF AGREEMENT
WITH PROFESSIONAL FIREV1GHTtRS ,d'F PAbI C2I ;- LOCAL 168, INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF
FIREFIGHTERS, AMENDING AN AGREEMENT ENTERED INTO ON SEPT-
EMBER 1, 1978.
WHEREAS, '-THE>tity-)of -Paducah 'anal -�rotfess oval' - "Fire '""of
Local 168, International Association of Firefighters, hereinafter referred to as
"Union", entered into an=agreement on September 1, 1978, and
WHEREAS,--the'-Cityand Union amended the contract by entering into an
Amendment to Contract on the 30th day of June, 1980, to -become effective on July 1,
1980, and
WHEREAS,, the .City -and Union entered into contract negotiations during 1982
and reached an agreement thereto,:which agreement has never been committed to
writing, but has been followed by both the City and Union, and
WHEREAS, said agreement called for a negotiation of wages during the year
1983 it is now the)Aesire .of the City and Unian to=ratify the actions taken in 1982
and 1983 and submit these actions to a formal Amendment to Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH', KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That thea Mayor and City -_Manager are hereby authorized to enter
into an agreement with Local 168, International Association of Firefighters, said
agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof as if set out in full herein.
SECTION 2. All other terms and conditions of the agreement entered into
between Local 168, Internat%onal'Association `of F'i`refighl�er's`and the City of Paducah,
dated September 1, 1978, shall remain in fu1T'Tofi ana effect unless they are
specifically amended by this or`subsequent ordinance of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be
effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
