HomeMy WebLinkAbout83-6-2408646 ORDINANCE NO. 83-6-2408 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF PADUCAH PLANNING COMMIS- SION, PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF SOUTH TWENTY-NINTH STREET, LOCATED BETWEEN JONES AND TURNER STREETS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of a portion of South Twenty -Ninth Street, located between Jones and Turner Streets, which are more particularly described.as follows: A portion of South 29th .Street located between Jones Street and Turner Street and more particularly described as fol- lows: Beginning at the intersection of the south right-of-way line of Jones Street and the east right-of-way line of South 29th Street; thence in a southerly direction along the east right-of-way line of South 29th Street a distance of 289.04 feet to the north right-of-way line of Turner Street; thence in a westerly direction along the north right-of-way line of Turner Street a distance of 67.64 -feet to the west right-of- way line of South 29th Street; thence in a northerly di- rection along the west right-of-way line of South 29th Street a distance of 257.81 feet to the south right-of-way line of Jones Street; thence in an easterly direction along the south right-of-way line of Jones Street a distance of 60 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 82.405, an action in McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the streets described in Section 1 above. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof. JOHN K.
