ORDINANCE NO. 83-6-2407
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-51, "CIVIL SERVICE" OF THE CODE OF ORDI-
NANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 10-51 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reor-
dained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 10-51. Engineering Department.
(a) There is hereby created and authorized the following positions in the
Engineering Department, and the salary of each position that shall be paid upon satis-
factory completion of consecutive years of service, in this position, and upon recom -
mendation of the City Manager:

(b) Whenever an employee of the Engineering Department is appointed Acting
Department Head by the Board of Commissioners in the absence of a city engineer, they
shall receive in addition to their regular compensation $250.00 per month, untilJuly
1, 1983, and the sum of $263.00 per month after July 1, 1983. This sum shall not be
considered as part of the base pay and will be received only so long as the designated
person continues as Acting Department Head.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be
effective July 1, 1983.
