AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -SECTION (a) OF SECTION 12-19, "NUMBER, RANK AND
SALARIES OF MEMBERS" OF ARTICLE II "FIRE DEPARTMENT" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Sub -section (a) of Section 12-19, "Number, rank and
salaries of members", of Article II "Fire Department" of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that same as amended and
reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 12-19. Number, rank and salaries of members.
(a) The number and rank of members of the Fire Department of the City and
the salary of each position that shall be paid upon satisfactory completion of con-
secutive years of service in the Fire Department:

SECTION 2. In order to return the six laid -off employees to work an
emergency is hereby declared to exist, second reading of this ordinance is hereby
waived and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect on July 1, 1983.
